My Students

My school was created as a math and science school 60 years ago. Today, there is still a strong emphasis and math and science. We offer lots of courses, including honors, gifted and Advanced Placement.

I teach math (geometry, pre-Cal and Cal), mostly, but also 1 chemistry course (honors).

I have a group of 10th grade students and most of them like chemistry. I try my best to make the course as appealing as possible for the students who are not "science-inclined". But overall, my students put a lot of effort in their coursework, and are very involved in the labs.

it's a pleasure to teach such fine young people.

My Project

The circuit maze electric current logic game teaches direct current circuits principles in a creative and hands-on way.

These games bring circuits learned in class on paper to life and they enable students to deeply understand how electricity flows.

I am requesting a class set of the circuit maze game so that each student can get individual hands-on experience without having to wait for their turn.

These activities teach principles of logic that are useful across all math and science classes.

As a "side effect", the games serve to reduce anxiety about working with electricity. Once students get started with electricity, they can move to more complicated concepts.
