As a first-year teacher in a third-grade classroom, I am still trying my best to collect supplies for my students in order to further their learning. Currently, I have eight girls and sixteen, very active boys in my class, so movement and flex seating is a must. One-third of my class are ESOL students who need additional support in all areas.
My students are strong leaders with a desire to learn.
With these materials, I know we will have a very successful year.
I simply want what is best for my students and for them all to have the same resources. We need some help to make that happen.
My Project
These texts will be a wonderful addition to our classroom library! All of these texts link our social studies standards to literacy and will create a fun way to learn these tough subjects.
Slavery, colonial America, indentured servants, Veterans Day, and Memorial day are some of the contents being shown through these amazing books.
Through the words and illustrations in these stories, my students will gain a deeper understanding of these topics and will be able to visualize from different perspectives. Please help give the gift of engaged learning for topics that are always a little more difficult to explain.
