My Project

I am an ancient history teacher (6th grade) and recently came across a stunning art project of a pharaoh. Our kids don't have art classes at our middle school so I thought that this was my opportunity to incorporate art history into our curriculum. We will draw the profile of the pharaoh after observing the art inside the pyramids. I have them take a virtual tour of the pyramid at Giza using "The Giza Project at Harvard University". This year we will hopefully be designing our own profile of a pharaoh using sharpies, watercolor, and gold paint. I am so excited!
