My Students

My students are a diverse group of twenty AMAZING kids! I am blessed to be their teacher. I teach Third Grade at a title one school in Philadelphia. My students came back to school this year with an excitement to learn that I've never experienced. They truly appreciate being in school after missing out on in person learning for so long. The last "normal" year my students had was when they were in Kindergarten!

Our students have lost so much joy due to COVID-19, help me keep the JOY in learning!

We are a Title I school and our students are provided 100% free lunch for each child. I strive to make learning fun and engaging for my students which often involves using resources our school does not have access to.

My students appreciate everything they have and always find the joy in the little things in life. Their drive and ambition to learn inspires me to do all I can to provide them with the materials and experiences they need to be successful.

My Project

Help bring science to LIFE this year in our Third Grade classroom! I would love to participate in an amazing chick hatching experience with my students. I can say with 100% certainty that my students' favorite subject this year is Science! They love the hands on activities and observing the world around them. The program I am looking to have funded provides fertilized eggs along with all materials to implement a successful chick hatching experience.

This EGG-citing experience is one that will stay with my students for a life time!
