My Students

My campground (classroom) is full of wonderful and fun campers (students) who have inquisitive minds and a thirst for knowledge. They love to do STEM projects where they work with partners or groups to solve a problem through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. They will work together and come up with some of the most creative solutions.

At my campsite we work together to become our best selves and to respect ourselves and others.

My students learn to do this through interacting with each other and the world around them. They learn through each other and grow to not only know the material but to help others who don't understand it yet. We believe in the power of "yet". We continue to learn even when it is hard.

At our school we say that we are BISON. That we will be responsible, imagine success, show respect, open our minds, and never give up. My students exhibit all of these qualities as they never give up even when the work gets hard and the going gets tough.

My Project

Students in 3rd grade study the life cycle of animals and one of the great ways of studying that is through hands on experience. For them to see and talk about the life cycle of a chick will help them come to a greater understanding of life science. They will get to write about the life cycle as they observe it.

Students will get to explore hands on science through observation of the chick eggs.

They will get to be up close and personal. This allows my students hands on experience and the ability to get my students even more excited about science.
