Efficient, Accurate & Uninterrupted Remote Learning!
Help me give my students the best remote learning experience with an Apple MacBook. With this device, I will be able to teach my 32 students their content curriculum more efficiently, quickly and accurately.
My students come to school every day remotely eager to learn. I want to give them an exciting and interesting learning experience while they are there. I am striving to inspire them so learning will continue as they leave the classroom at the end of our school day. I want the lessons I teach them to make their lives fruitful and happy. Teaching 32 students remotely has been a challenge to say the least. My biggest challenge is having the best technology to do the very best for them.
The technology the schools has provided me has been adequate but I have noticed the staff who have been able to upgrade their devices have less technical issues.
The less technical issues equals much better learning for my students. In my large class of 32 students, I have a combination of English Language learners, Several on the autism spectrum, and several Special Education students.
My Project
I have been teaching 32 students remotely on a Chromebook. While a Chromebook can be adequate, I want to teach much more than adequately. I want to be able to clearly and quickly communicate my lessons to my students so they are getting the best possible understanding from my lessons in a quick and effective way.
I have a large number of students in my class and my Chromebook can't handle that amount in a productive way.
It doesn't always work as fast and efficiently as I would like it to. Just one example, I have to have all my students shut their cameras off while I share my screen. With an Apple MacBook I wouldn't have to do that. With an Apple Macbook I will be able to deliver my lessons much more productively. I would also be able to see them working and know they are participating correctly. That is just of the many ways an Apple Macbook would improve my students' remote learning experience. I sincerely believe my students will benefit greatly with much better technology on their side. I worry when my Chromebook presentations look blurry or when they are slow and have many glitches due to the number of students in my classroom Google Meet. I have spoken to teachers who have mac books and they say their teaching and learning experience is much better for them and their students. I have a great deal to teach my students this year. Their school year was cut short last year. We have a lot of catching up to do and I believe a MacBook will help me assist my students to get there in the best way possible!
