This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We service students within the urban area of Ohio. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. We take pride in helping students through trauma informed practices as we reduce the distress of students within our school.

My Project

The students in our class have tables and chairs. This leaves the shelving for books, and teaching materials. Storage space is at a premium for the students belongings and supplies needed to be readily available to them. By having a storage sack for each student they would be able to store all of their belongs in an orderly manner.

Keeping everything within arms reach gives them a sense of ownership and responsibility.

This may seem small, but to the students in my class who have little to nothing as far as possessions this would mean the world to them.
