My students are mostly minority students and most of them come from a low-income family background. They are very active and enjoy coming to school and learning science.
They are always ready to learn new skills and explore new opportunities, but the unavailability of resources makes it hard for them to understand some of the abstract concepts that I teach; therefore, the need to explain the concepts in ways that make them real, captivating and interesting becomes imperative.
My students enjoy completing class projects that involve hands-on experiments, programming, art and research, which helps them express their understanding of chemistry concepts in their own way by creating new meanings of their discoveries.
My project is about helping my students who are basketball players have necessary accessories that they need in order to train effectively. I teach students who are very involved and play on our school basketball team but they don't have the type shorts and jackets that they need in other to stay actively engaged in the game. My students need track jackets and training shorts for effective participation in basketball. They also need KT tape to provide support and ease pain during training.
Staying active by engaging in sports like soccer has a lot of health benefits.
It helps to increase aerobic capacity and cardiovascular health. It also helps improve muscle tone to build strength, flexibility, and endurance. Research has shown that sports increase social interaction, healthy well-being, and brain activity. My students need track jackets, KT tape, and training shorts to train and participate in playing basketball.
