My Students

I am a teacher in North Carolina. This year I have 20 wonderful fifth graders at a low income school. Most of my students are below proficient in Reading and Math. My goal is for all of my students to succeed this year in fifth grade. They all deserve the best chance of meeting their individual goals. I have a class full of students who love to talk and express themselves, just maybe not always in the best ways. Let's be honest, sometimes with this age group they are not as enthusiastic about reading or math. All students learn in different ways and are motivated by different things. It is my job to meet all of their needs. I want to see ALL of my students engaged and enthusiastic about learning and I think I have a great idea that will motivate my students to do so.

My Project

Our district started the school year remote only. Eventually, it was decided to do a hybrid model for school, giving families the option to continue remote 100% or face-to-face four days a week. I was one of the teachers who remained teaching 100% remote. Recently, about half of my students have returned back to the classroom, while the other half are still learning remotely.

Now, more than ever, it is imperative that these students have access to online learning tools, whether it be in the classroom or at home.

Having these tech tools will help students make the remote learning experience smoother. With these TPT gift cards, students will be able to engage in new concepts and strategies and will participate in remote learning lessons in a more seamless way.
