Help me give my students an HP-LaserJet Pro and toner to print their assignments, essays, projects, colored art to enhance projects, scan/copy teacher notes to meet IEP accommodations, print teacher presentations for visual learners.
My students are a wonderful group of diverse learners that currently receive special education services. Their disabilities include LD, ADHD, ED, Autism, and OHI. My students all have the desire to want to succeed in school, but at times the rigor of high school can become overwhelming. It is my job to draw out their interests, work daily on helping them to improve their skill deficits, and support them any way I can to a path of success. With the assistance of technology, I will be able to continue to strengthen my awesome students' paths to success throughout their high school years by providing them with the accommodations and modifications that they require to be successful and graduate high school.
My Project
The HP Laserjet Color printer and toner will provide my students with the opportunity to print class materials, teacher presentations, notes, graphic organizers, projects, and essays in a timely manner. Many of my students are overwhelmed with the amount of time they are learning on a computer screen and need that break or many of them have more success at assignment completion when they have access to hard copies of the assignments. With the scanner option, it will also allow the students to scan and send these handwritten assignments to their teachers in a timely manner. The headphones will help the students focus when they return to school next week in a hybrid format.
