Effecting Learning with Flexible Seating and Up-to-Date Resources!
Help me give my students flexible seating with the saucer chairs, a monthly subscription to Scholastic news to help us with non-fiction reading, and allowing us to continue to make anchor charts with the post-it note easel.
The students in my class are always going above and beyond to achieve their goals. When they set goals for themselves, they seek help from me or their classmates. My students are great at building and maintaining a classroom community throughout the year.
Some of the students have skills and abilities that they never knew they had.
Through different projects or other self-discovery, they are finding more out about themselves that can not be taught from a book or video.
My Project
The materials I am asking for will allow my students to read comfortably in our ever growing reading area. The seats are designed for my students and will allow them to sit comfortably. I know that when a reader is comfortable, they are more engaged in their reading, instead of trying to get comfortable.
These materials will help my students become more engaged and interested in their learning.
With the Scholastic news subscription, it will allow my students to become more up to date with non-fiction text and current events. The post-it note easel will help us design anchor charts that will increase student interest and engagement.
