My Students

I work with students who struggle to keep up with their classmates due to special needs or circumstances. They work very hard but require additional support in the classroom.

With the right tools, my students are able to focus and learn more effectively while at school.

My Project

My goal is to gather resources to better help my special education students find success and feel supported within their classrooms and in small groups. In my experience, students who have additional tools, such as visual aides, are able to achieve much more than they would be able to without these assistive tools. Flexible seating, sensory items, graphic organizers and games are all a great way to encourage students to participate and learn skills that help make them more confident, which they can then apply in the general education classrooms.
