Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a group of excited and enthusiastic kindergarten multilingual students, they are willing to learn to read and write English. I am an ESL kindergarten teacher to a group of enthusiastic learners. Would you like to help a group of inner city school with very limited resources who need extra help because they are learning two languages at the same time? You could be the one to help provide them the learning tools they need to accomplish their goals. My students are interested in learning everything about the life, from home life to life around the world.
My students are interested in learning not only languages but about the world around them; from the life style at home to life style of the people around them. We do not have things we do need to make that learning happen because there are not enough resources to make that happen. My students do not expose to English language at home, school is the only place where they learn English sounds. We do not have funding or supplies for phonetic sound cards or other tools that can help them practice the sounds that make up the English language. They need to hear the sounds from the learning tools to practice the English language independently because their own languages have different phonetic sounds. Using English language learning tools can help them practice sounds to speak and spell the words, which is crucial in writing process, listening the proper phonetic sounds and spell right words is crucial in their proper language development.
By using letter tools and sound and writing devices students can make their own alphabet and sound books, that can improve and expend their knowledge of English language. We want them to be successful English learners this sights word kit and sight word puzzle, alphabet maze, and word building puzzle, writing tutor and writing boards can make that happen. With the proper learning tools my students can learn to read and write English quickly and properly, making it possible for them to start helping their parents and family members around them.
With your help, my students will be able to master the English language and become tomorrow’s writers and social workers. If you help them learn to read and write through your generous donation, one group of inner city can overcome their struggles to arise in society during this economically disadvantaged period and they can become tomorrow’s productive and responsible citizens.
