Educational Materials For My Awesome Students With Autism
My students need the manipulative materials such as the various puzzles, Hot Dot Jr. Set, & phonics cards to practice their Math, Reading, and Science Skills.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Every morning, I stand at the door to welcome my students with a smile. They have work on their desks before arriving.
I want my students to become self-motivated independent learners and achieve greater success.
"We have got to work on keeping these students engaged with the world." - Temple Grand
My students have autism.
They are very smart and willing to learn. Although, I teach in a low income district but the students are encouraged to become life-long learners. We need more classroom manipulative as those that we have are not enough for the students. They are constantly sharing the materials.
My Project
My students will achieve greater success in all the core subjects if they have more educational materials. They will use the manipulatives to learn to count, build words, increase their confidence, and promote communication. These materials will reinforce Science, Math, and English Language Arts Lessons.
Donations to this project will improve literacy and students' understanding of mathematical concepts.
The materials would encourage students to take ownership for their own learning experiences.
The hands-on manipulative would be used to improve eye-hand coordination, fine motor ability, communication, math, and social skills. The materials will allow children to problem solve, develop critical thinking, and self correct.
