My Students

I am so fortunate to teach a class of creative, inquisitive third graders who love to learn! Every child has incredible talents and strengths. They love to grow and discover new ideas. They are fascinated by the world around them! They thrive when we make learning meaningful and fun! The students in my class strive to be the best learners they can be. They care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all aspects of their lives.

My students are striving to become better leaders inside and outside of the classroom!

They love to take ownership of their learning and they love to help others.

My Project

The materials and supplies requested for my class will be beneficial to each of my students especially after the impact of COVID on learning this past year! We are working hard to make up for learning that may have been lost or is being missed while students are quarantined at home. We are constantly using manipulatives, chart paper, white boards and markers, sheet protectors and each of the other materials to make learning more engaging and interactive.

Now more than ever, students need learning to be meaningful and engaging!

The educational materials requested will help ensure that safe, productive, meaningful, learning is taking place.

During this time it is imperative that students are able to have individual supplies to decrease the risk of spreading germs. Individual headphones with speakers for each student will help my students practice fluency and read along with digital stories without the need to share or unnecessarily spread germs.

Learning games help my students to think critically and improve their math and logic skills while still having fun. My students love to earn game time where we pull out strategic puzzles and games and play. They sometimes do not even realize all of the learning they are doing while they play!

I am requesting a color printer and laminating machine with laminating sheets so that I can easily create, print, and laminate learning materials and review centers for my students that can be reused time and again and are able to sanitized between uses by to help decrease the spreading of germs.

These supplies will help me support my students while I prepare educational lessons and materials that are engaging, differentiated, and motivating and that can support students whether they are in the classroom or learning virtually during these uncertain times in education.
