My students are eager to learn and read everyday when they go to my library! As a reward I let them play fun and educational games. These hardworking students all come from various backgrounds and cultures. This gives them the opportunity to interact with other students that otherwise they wouldn't have the chance to. They love to interact in the morning before school and during Specials when they come to check out their library books.
I would love to have games donated for my Library so they can enjoy student interaction and create new friendships.
They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!
My Project
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase students' social skills, but you'll also let them learn while they have fun. I'm requesting a variety of games including Colors & Shapes Bingo, Numbers Bingo, Tic Tac Toe, Rush Hour, Tile Lock Scrabble, and Minute Math Electronic Flash Cards. These games will also help to improve and increase student attention and focus and help to increase their academic achievement.
My students usually sit at a round table or a rectangular table but sometimes they like to sit on the carpet.
They are noticeably more engaged, more social, and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to read and play games.
They love to come to the library and not only are they reading, but they are socializing and learning, as well.
