Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I work in a small school where students are excited to learn everyday. All the teachers in the building create a welcoming and nurturing classroom for the students.

Even though students come to school with some basic supplies there are lots of other educational materials that we still need to make learning more interactive and exciting.

We need help funding beginning of the year classroom supplies, field trips though out the year, educational materials, school supplies and test prep workbooks.

My Project

These games will help students stay engaged, have fun with their peers as well as teach them to think outside the box. Students often have indoor recess due to cold weather. Students will play Uno and Connect Four in teams and individually. Connect Four forces students to think critically and strategically to win.

My students need games and toys for indoor recess.

These games will provide them an opportunity to enjoy their recess time indoors.

We have an after school science program and students will also use these resources during science club to learn about simple machines and build simple machines themselves using Rube Goldberg ideas.
