My Students

I teach in a Title I school, which means the majority of my students live below the poverty line. My students are great; they just have many needs that I am unable to fund on my own. I personally will not allow a student to go without materials that they need.

My school is not unlike many others, lacking the extras that make school interesting and engaging.

Despite the lack of materials my students are insightful, hopeful, and eager to learn.

My Project

These books will help my students by putting the economic standards into regular terms and activities that they can put into their own lives and therefore better understand the topic. My students struggle with economics, it seems to be a broad topic that they are able to memorize the terms but not really understand economics in application.

These sets of books would allow my students to see examples of how economics applies to people's everyday lives.

They need this so that they understand the importance of economics. These books will also expose my students to a different culture as well.
