My students need the variety of entrepreneur-based resources such as a heat press machine, bean bag animals, transfer sheets and informational books to understand the skills necessary to be successful!
I am blessed to work with second to fifth grade GT students every week! The students are thrilled to have the opportunity to learn new and different topics each class period. Eighty-two percent of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Many of my students need the additional opportunities to further advance their knowledge base.
My students need the opportunity to understand the skills necessary to become an entrepreneur by using an abundance of resources!
These items will help to encourage my students to reach for the stars in all areas of their lives.
The diversity in my classroom stems from not only originating all over the world, but also socioeconomic and academic differences. By incorporating artistic resources, my students will be able to make valuable connections between academic and cultural knowledge.
My students need to be able to take part in a wide variety of experiences in order to reach their potential. Your donations will bring a world of opportunities to many students!
My Project
Entrepreneurship is a skill that must be experienced not just discussed. In order to help my students have the mindset of an entrepreneur, they need the various resources to grasp the grit necessary to be a success. My students will create a stuffed animal business using the Digital Transfer Sublimation Heat Press Machine, Heat Transfer Sheets, and Teflon sheets to personalize the Plush Mini Bean Bag Animals. They will determine the cost of each of the toys in order to develop a break even and profit point. The following resources will be used to develop mind changing and encouraging lessons to the GT classes: Make Just One Change: Teach Students to Ask Their Own and The Take-Action Guide to World Class Learners Book 2: How to "Make" Product-Oriented Learning Happen. The following trade books will be used as a hands-on approach for the students in the area of entrepreneurship: Capitalism For Kids: Growing Up To Be Your Own Boss, The Girl With a Mind for Math: The Story of Raye Montague (Amazing Scientists), and The Word Collector.
My students need entrepreneur resources to become the successful citizens they have the potential to become!
