My students need the supplies such as a Paper Storage Center, crayons, and markers to learn about our economic system and then to creatively demonstrate their knowledge.

My Students
I am the librarian in a rural elementary school with a population of approximately 320 kindergarten to third grade students. Our students come from a variety of economic backgrounds with 74% of the students receiving free or reduced lunches.
The students enjoy visiting the library each week where they can engage in a variety of activities from checking out books, puzzles, computers and LEGOs.
I would love to expand on the activities and materials available for the students so they can grow, create, and learn more during their time in the library.
My Project
Most of my students do not have a clear understanding of money and it's worth. Through the use of the books about money and economics, I hope to give all of my students a better understanding of money and it's value.
The supplies will allow the students to illustrate what they learned after reading the books on money.
The markers, pens, colored pencils and crayons will allow the students to express their knowledge in a bright colorful, and meaningful manner. While the paper trays will allow us to keep our supplies organized and easily accessible.
By donating to our project you will help students to develop money skills that will stay with them for a lifetime.
