Help me give my students essentials needed for continual great financial literacy activities.

I teach a classroom full of happy, eager to learn, curious, sweet first graders whom I like to call my “First Grade Scholars”. They are so loving and peaceful. They like to laugh, play, and have fun while learning. They are learning how to become problem solvers and they are learning to adapt to our new way of interacting with people due to the current pandemic. Our school is considered a low-income school where 63% of students receive free or reduced meals. Sadly, many of the students in our district are living in generational poverty, and I know that a good educational foundation will give them a chance to become productive citizens. I have implemented Financial Literacy lessons to help teach them many lifelong skills.
I created this project to deepen my students’ knowledge about financial literacy and to reward them for being a good citizen. 2020 has been very different for me and my students. They did not get to complete their full year of kindergarten. I have tried to make their first grade year very memorable while being safe. In literacy and math I have strived to create lessons that are engaging, well thought out, and hands on.
I can ensure I have what I need to provide a robust learning experience for my students.
We go to school face to face Monday- Thursdays and are virtual on Fridays. Students also have the option to be full virtual Monday through Fridays. On Thursdays we take time out to count the students' money that they have earned and are given the chance to exchange them for tangible rewards, more books, legos, playdoh and toys! EVERY child needs to learn how to make the world a better place. Since we are unable to share the water fountain for safety and healthy reasons. We have a water cooler in our classroom. I also provide mini water bottles. Students will now have the option to get cold ice water. Some of the items that I am requesting will enhance our classroom experience. We have an Alexa and the plug-ins will be used for it. The extra outlets will be used for our lights. One of their classroom jobs is to be the tidy upper and their responsibility is to keep our room tidy. We have three small carpets and it’s important for me to keep them cleaned throughout the day. The soap dispenser will be useful for dispensing the hand sanitizer. I will use the cupholder and cups beside our water cooler.
