This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My fifth graders are always excited for their Science lesson to begin for the day. They are always enthusiastic about learning and exploring new things within our great environment. My students love going to the Science lab and outside to explore different things about our environment more in-depth.

I currently teach 50 hard working fifth graders.

My students attend a Title I rural school. They are so thrilled about learning new things as it relates to the environment and how they can create ways and contribute to making our environment more resourceful to humans.

My Project

This Samsung Galaxy Tablet will be used by the students as a form of technology in the classroom, in the environment, and in the Science lab. This will enable the students to listen to a variety of podcasts about the environment and how they can make and create ways to make the environment a better place for everyone to live. In addition to that, the students will be able to listen to environmental songs that will aid them in remembering important tips on keeping our environment clean. The students will be able to go on virtual Science field trips which will show the students the importance of the environment, wildlife, and their habitat. They will observe different aspects of the biosphere and explore how some of the positive and negative things we as humans do affect it. Also, the students will be able to take photos of the environment and study wildlife. This will enable the students to see that everything in environment is important and has a significant purpose for the biosphere.

All of the information the students learn may inspire them to tell their parents, other family members, and friends how to appreciate our environment.
