My Students

I have 25 amazing first graders who are energetic, enthusiastic, motivated, and special. My students like to move, twist, stand, sit, and most importantly, learn. My students are in an urban community and many students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Our classroom furniture is outdated and I am looking to transform my everyday classroom into a kinesthetic learning environment to best meet the needs of all of my students. The students in my classroom range from regular education to ESL to special education. My high expectations and drive bring me to this project for my students.

My Project

My first graders love music for fun and dancing, for transitions, for yoga and mindfulness, during brain breaks, snack time and work time! The echo dot and echo plus will be utilized in the classroom daily for music! I think these tools will make transition time quicker and smoother for playing music. Now, I use a CD player or Ipad but a speaker itself that can play music on demand will be much easier and convenient and hopefully a lot louder so they can hear it even when they are working in stations and may be actively talking and learning.
