Eating Well and Being Well Dressed During Play Rehearsal
My students need gift cards to get food during play rehearsal from Domino pizza, as well as final costumes including felt fabric, black t-shirts and pants and leaf garlands
My students will be able to properly navigate a computer screen using a mouse, as well as learning their ABC's and 123's through computer games that I can monitor or they can self monitor. The portability of MacBook Air will help in terms of storage, so that it can be moved to where there is room for my students to use the computer.
Too often students use the Internet and randomly click on websites that they can, without realizing the places where they are entering.
With carefully monitored games, not only will my students be able to learn how to use the mouse, but they will learn the lessons needed for kindergarten.
My Project
My students have ben practicing for their performance of the Lion King during the school year. To commemorate their hard work, my students would like to go see Disney's "The Lion King" on Broadway. Many of them have seen the cartoon version of the Lion King. But none of them have seen it on Broadway, and many do not even know that "The Lion King" is a Broadway show.
This May, they are going to be seeing the show on Broadway.
They are very excited about seeing the show. The clothing and leaves will help to finish off their costumes. The sweatpants and black t-shirts will provide them with their costume so their masks will be the centerstage. The felt pieces will be used to make their masks for their characters.
The gift cards will be used to pay for dinner for late night rehearsals to keep them energized.
