Eating Healthy With Hydroponic Veggies!

My Project

Have you ever heard of a "Food Desert"? A food desert is a community that has limited access to stores that can provide them with fresh food for their families. As a matter of fact there is only one grocery store in the community surrounding the school and it is a small store with extremely limited fresh produce.

As an all girls S.T.E.A.M school in the inner-city, one of our initiatives is to help our STEAMinist learn to provide healthy food choices by gardening for their families and community.

It is our goal to learn to grow healthy foods year-round inside with the hydroponic garden as well as growing food in our outside garden.
