My Students

I am a resource teacher teaching 24 amazing and wonderful students. They have individual needs based on their special education eligibility. They are smart and creative.

They love to engage in any reading and math activities.

They need visual support at all times like pictures, task cards, behavior charts, and flash cards that they need in their daily activities.

My Project

One of the things my students struggle with is finding and organizing materials after a fun and engaging activity. They need constant verbal and physical prompts to find materials that we use in a specific activity. Returning stuff is also a challenge for them.

With these mobile organizers, it would be easier for my students to locate materials and at the same time, taking responsibility to return them after our individual and guided practice activities.

This would also be very beneficial for teachers because we can move them around to a specific place where we do our guided group or individual practice activities. The colored drawers can be labeled to aid my students in finding and organizing materials. I am so excited of how these materials would help them with self-dependent and organizational skills!
