Help me give my students an Apple ipad mini, tech tub2 to charge the ipad, and a protective case to protect the ipad while students are using this fun and exciting device.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach two fast paced kindergarten sessions each day. We read and write daily, using a variety of hands-on-activities. They are very inquisitive and excited about learning.
All 39 friends in our room have a wide variety of learning needs and consist of English Language Learners and special education.
They are highly motivated to work hard, but need other resources to comprehend and improve their language development.
These students are developing abilities to visualize, critique, discuss, and model their own learning, and they are learning to collaborate to do so.
My Project
Most children love to use technology to learn new and exciting topics. However, many of my students come from low income households and don’t have the opportunity to use this type of technology at home.
My students only get a chance to use the three computers that we have in our classroom and sometimes the computers aren’t functioning.
My students will greatly appreciate the usage of the ipad mini.
They could use the ipad to work independently on extra reading and writing tasks during literacy stations. They can even listen and read educational books online. My students will become fluent readers and their language development will increase by integrating more engaging technology in the classroom. The ipad mimi will be an essential tool used in my classroom to help all students to make significant progress towards their learning goals.
