Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is on a Reserve Base. We serve the children of our men and women serving in the United States military from all branches. Our school has over 1000 children that come from diverse military families. Children move every few years and have to start a new school because of the military parents' duty station transfer.
At our school, teachers and staff members strive to provide the best possible education to the military children that have to endure a new home, new school, and new friends every few years.
The mission of our school is to educate our military-dependent children, no matter what their background or previous school experience, to fully achieve their personal and academic potential through the acquisition of core knowledge and the skills of analysis, problem-solving, communication, and global responsibility.
My Project
The donations to this project will help to improve our students transition time during Math and give our students more quality educational learning time.
Everyday of the week we have Math class!
Math is an essential part of a child's education and a core subject that is interlinked with Science and other subjects. We spend way too much time transitioning from one group to another because the amount of class materials that we use. Students have to pick up a dry erase board, a clip board, a dry erase marker and a eraser. Our class has to transition into 3 different math groups. We have independent work station, teacher station and TA station.
Having a grade level set of Clipboard Dry Erase Surface 9'' x 12.5'' Letter Size Low Profile Clip Whiteboard would cut our Math transition time in half, because they would only need to pick up a Clipboard Dry Erase Surface 9'' x 12.5'' Letter Size Low Profile Clip Whiteboard. This small little change would leave more time for our student to learn and demonstrate their knowledge.
