My Students

I work with low income families. To see the look on their faces when you introduce them to something new is priceless. The joy they get from learning new things daily is a great feeling. Our families are unable to help with items that we need in class to do a great project and let the kids have fun. Our school is located in Knoxville, and most of our families and kids live around violence daily.

I would like to give them as many good experiences as I can while teaching them daily.

Receiving materials to help with this concept would help out tremendously.

My Project

This desk will make a difference in my students learning because they will have a nice, small space that they can feel comfortable learning. They are little themselves and this is a perfect size for them. They will be able to learn letters, numbers, colors and shapes. This will give them the ability to practice writing the first letter in their name (younger students) and for my friends going to kindergarten they will have a good space to practice writing their full name. They will be able to write a note home to mom or dad about what we learned!
