My students love learning! This kindergarten class is in an urban Ohio school district and they are always asking questions and eager to discover the answers. They love hands-on learning and engaging projects. They also enjoy literature and listening to read-alouds.
Kindergarten should be a year of learning through play, engaging in projects that reflect their interests, developing social skills to work with others, and learning to love reading!
My goal is to foster and facilitate their learning, reading, and discovering. This is a diverse group of students, and there are a variety of needs and learning styles in the classroom. I want this incredible group of kids to have all the opportunities they can to have a great first year of school.
My Project
My students need more fun, exciting ways to practice identifying uppercase and lowercase letters. These hands-on materials are a continuation of my first project for fun and interesting activities that will help students learn their abc’s.
Learning the alphabet letters and sounds doesn’t have to be monotonous- it can and SHOULD be fun and hands-on!
These materials, that include tactile letters, magnetic letters, snap-together letter blocks, and word-building blocks, will ensure that students get lots of hands-on practice with letters. Many students need a multi-sensory learning experience to truly learn and internalize these foundational skills, and the materials that I have requested will provide just that!
My students will be so excited to learn their ABC’s!
