My students need supplies such as plastic folders, glue sticks, book baggies and Early Writing Process Student Folders to maximize their learning experiences.
We are an integrated collaborative teaching (ICT) first-grade class, with a mixture of general and special education students at a high-needs, Title I school in the Bronx. While the majority of students come from low-income homes or from homes with limited parental involvement, they are enthusiastic and come to school every day ready to learn. They see school as a consistent part of their daily lives and love to make me proud.
My first graders are some of the happiest children I have ever had the pleasure of working with; they inspire me to provide the best education I can for them.
My Project
We are requesting supplies necessary for a smooth transition into a new school year. We are asking for the early writing process student folders because they will help the students organize their writing. These folders come with three pockets so students can organize their writing as they progress through the writing process, from drafting to revising, to finalizing. Glue sticks are necessary because students partake in many cutting and pasting activities throughout the year. It helps them succeed because the hands-on activities gives them an opportunity to practice their skills. Plastic folders will be used for various content areas. It will allow students to keep their materials safe and organized. We use dry erase markers frequently throughout the day and th3 kids love using them to learn. Thick beginner pencils help students grip better and improve their handwriting.
These materials will help my students succeed in the classroom.
