Easels for Art Students to Make Beautiful Paintings
Help me give my students easels to do great paintings. My students currently are only using flat tables and they are crowded. Students have been asking for easels to work on upright canvases to use for paintings.
I teach all levels of Art at my position. I have five periods total consisting of one AP class of 17 students, three classes of Art I consisting of 30 students in each and one class of Art II/AP Studio with 27 students in this class. My students are amazing. They do beautiful artwork and they love being in art.
My Students are talented and enjoy learning about new techniques and ideas for creative expression.
They are interested in community issues. Last year they took on the topic of foster care, this year they are taking on the topic of human trafficking. They will be creating works for an art show at a local gallery to bring awareness to this timely topic.
My students are from an urban at risk community and many have never been to a gallery or museum they do not have the means to purchase their own art materials and our school district must supply all their materials for them.
Having easels would enable students to stand up to paint and draw. Students have limited space in my room and having easels would make their work space more efficient and more conducive to making more advanced artwork. Working at an easel will give them more space for supplies and for creativity.
Students dream of working like a real artist and they long for easels to use for their paintings and drawings, allowing them to express their art more freely.
I have researched many different easels and find that the table top easels that are fully adjustable to be to most effective for students. While they will be used for making art students will also use them to display their work in an up scale gallery
