Teaching is a work of heart- a teacher has to give it their all in order for students to show growth. My students are capable of showing a great deal of growth this year with our new reading program. Part of our program is working in small groups- allowing me to work more closely with each student.
My classroom is full of students who are learners, thinkers, and doers.
They love doing things that allow them to show their understanding of show what they have been learning. Part of the excitement this school year has been learning and doing a new reading program. Our school changed reading programs and is very excited about potential growth from our students. My students are hardworking, as am I, and we hope our hard work will pay off this school year.
My Project
This would be an awesome resource to have in our classroom, while we are learning and incorporating small groups during reading instruction. With an easel in our classroom, it will allow me to work one-on-one with small groups, instructing them in a smaller setting. Currently, in whole group instruction, we use our document camera, allowing all students to see what we are doing. But during small groups, in the smaller setting I need a new way to present/reteach the information that we are learning that week. An easel would allow me to write/review what we are working on, in the setting with my small groups. Students will be able to follow along and write their ideas while we are reviewing our leveled readers.
In advance, I would like to thank you for your time and consideration.
Donating to my project would allow me to share our learnings and ideas in the classroom in a small setting. Unfortunately, my classroom doesn't have much whiteboard space for me to do that currently. It will change my student's lives, because I will be able to show them information in a new way.
