I'm a third grade teacher in the South Bronx and I need an easel. In the third grade, most of your teaching points and mini lessons are done on the rug. You need an easel to write on, put chart paper on, work with magnetic letters, and hold big books on. I am currently using a broken wooden easel that falls down at all the wrong times. It is simply for holding chart paper and has no white board for me to write on. Rug time would go much better if I wasn't spending precious classroom time trying to make the stand stay up and not fall on someone. I can't share the marker and let the children write anything. The easel has to be handled very carefully or it will fall. The children are not allowed to touch it because I don't want anyone to get hurt. If anyone could help our class get a new easel both teacher and class would be most grateful!
