Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a high poverty neighborhood where 99% of them receive free lunch. All my students love coming to school! In school, they are provided with a safe, structured learning environment.
My students work to their fullest potential.
They learn by listening intently, asking questions, trying their hardest on classwork and projects. They never give up. My students understand they are all different and enjoy helping each other. They deserve everything needed to give them a proper education.
My Project
My students need a teaching easel so that we can display visuals and important concepts during our mini lessons.
My children learn best visually, and displaying information as I am teaching is crucial for my students’ understanding.
Kids need to hear it and see it in order to comprehend it. An easel would allow visual aids for learning. Anchor charts would be created during our mini lessons to improve comprehension. The anchor charts would be displayed in the classroom for students to refer back to at a later time. A magnetic dry erase board would allow me to write and display graphic features to students’ during mini lessons.
