This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What may seem like something simple can actually have a big impact on our learning! Our school serves a population of over 94% of students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunches and come from very humble backgrounds; this means it is extra difficult for families to afford the basic needs that keep a classroom running. Our students in our school are the shining gems of this community, they bring it to life, and they bring me to work every day! They, too, deserve to have access to school supplies just like all children do, and we need your support to get the things we need to help us thrive!

This is my opportunity to try to give my students things that I can't afford all by myself.

As an educator, I know what they need every single day to be an active part of their learning, and yet, unless I pay for them out of pocket, my students often times go without. Help me bring their learning to life; can you help? My students and I need an easel! We need to make our learning visible by creating anchor charts together, and we need to make it portable! I need to be able to move the easel easily around the room. The one we have broke and we so badly want to replace it! Can you help?
