My students need tools to write the steps they will take to work through their notes and be coached by other students. The rolling easel and small tabletop boards are easily used, moved, and stored.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Sixth grade students will have an opportunity this year to take part in a unique learning experience to help prepare them to be college and career-ready. They will focus on organization, collaboration, learning to take Cornell notes, public speaking, and developing skills to help them become great students and leaders.
Students will utilize AVID strategies such as focused note-taking and use these notes to help them teach and coach other students with similar points of confusion.
These students are from a low socio-economic background and are likely to be the first generation to attend college. The goal is to empower them through growth mindset and encourage hard work to help them attain their goals. They will have 1-2 field trips to visit colleges during their middle school years.
My Project
Students need to display their points of confusion to a group. The Learn and Store Chart Stand can be utilized for modeling and class discussion. The portability of it will help with limited classroom space. The use of the Table Top Easel Pad will allow for small groups to act as tutors and walk their peers through their problems step-by-step. The pages can then be displayed easily to reference by subject or teacher. The ultimate goal is for students to learn and review material by teaching others.
Your donation will lead to focused learning groups which will improve student achievement.
