Help me give my students a visual tool for all subjects that we can use each day.

My students live around Flint. They often have challenging home lives, so I want to make my classroom feel warm and inviting in any way I can. My kiddos are funny, playful, and bright. They have a lot of empathy and love taking care of each other. They’re in first grade, so they’re super cute...lots of missing teeth and special first moments. I couldn’t imagine teaching any other grade. They’ve won a place in my heart and make me love my job every day.
During carpet time, it’s difficult for some of my kids to see what we’re learning and this easel would help out a lot. I’d love to use it with magnetic letters or numbers and the students could use it on their own to build words and sentences as a center. I have some pocket charts that I could add for it and some anchor charts. This would be so handy around the room while I’m teaching. Plus, the storage at the bottom is awesome for keeping the magnets or writing supplies. I hope this gets funded because my first graders would really love using it.
