My Students

My students are in a two-way dual immersion program at a school in the Bay Area. Our school is an inclusive community dedicated to the education not only of students' minds but their hearts as well. Our students are learning how to read in English and Spanish by engaging in all kinds of texts and genres from fiction books to informational magazines!

Our students are wonderful and curious children excited to learn about the world around them.

They love to read about current events and science.

My Project

The Educational Insights filters will reduce the harsh glare and flickering from the fluorescent classroom lighting. My students are having an increase of eyestrain, headaches, and anxiety. The filters will help by calming and reducing the harsh lighting from the fluorescent lighting.

The light filters will also create a calm and tranquil learning environment for my students.

They will reduce their eyestrain and help them focus in class. The panels will fit over our standard ceiling fixtures, and the soft blue filters are great for all seasons. I know that the filters will tone down the harsh bright lighting and create a soothing learning experience.
