Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have the talent to be amazing artists. I have seen this in a plain pencil sketch. Sadly, my students do not have any art supplies to further their creativity
My students hail from an extremely transient, urban city.
Sadly, many of my students do not own a box of crayons let alone afford the ability to experience multiple facets of art. With your help, we can further the artistic abilities of my very deserving students, with the purchase of basic art supplies.
My Project
In a school that is limited in resources, not talent, my students do not have the supplies to continue their artistic growth. A project that the students are involved in is Pinwheels For Peace. This project unites students and artist around the world to show their stand for peace. With these materials, like paper, erasers, artist pencils and colors, not only will my students be able to showcase their talents as they support peace, they will learn to create art with a multitude of different media.
Funding this project will be the start of over 400 students, and counting, art passions, career opportunities and confidence.
Seeing the faces of my students when they get to experience their first art class was amazing. I cannot imagine what I will see when they have the tools to do so much more.
