Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

All of the experiments and exhibits I am requesting are designed to get my students excited about learning. In my school, over 50% of the kids are on free or reduced price lunch. We are struggling with our API (Academic Performance Index) scores and winning, slowly but surely. Last year we increased over 25 points and hit all our categories! Kids are getting excited about school! The more "hands on" they can be, especially in science, the better their critical thinking skills will develop. Little of their prior experience revolves around science topics. I want to give my students a rich experience that expands their current horizons. From dealing with magnetic fields to the chemistry of an oscillating reaction kit, from mastering the secrets of the gyroscope to unlocking the hidden power of solar energy, these experiments and exhibits will really help get them get started on a path of self-discovery. I know they will really appreciate them.
