I teach in a low income urban school district where my students face challenges every day. But every day, they get up and come to school to learn and grow.
Every spring, the world comes together to celebrate Earth Day.
I would like to spark a desire in my students to save the world everyday. As a class and a society, we can save the precious earth that we live on. I hope to teach my students "Even little things can make a big difference!"
During the past several years, I have read the book Judy Moody Saves the World to my class in April as an introduction to Earth Day. After reading the book, many of my students will ask to borrow my copy so they can read it independently.
I would like to give my students to opportunity to read the book "Judy Moody Saves the World" with me.
With this book I encourage my students think about the little changes that they can make in their own lives and our classroom that will make a difference in the world. After reading, we choose one project or idea that we can implement in our classroom lives.
