Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Kindergarteners are always excited about new things. They want to create projects, pretend to be someone or something, and copy their surroundings. They have a great imagination and are eager to learn. This is the age where high interest for learning is very important to maintain.
My goal for this age is to keep their interest and feed their curiosity with various forms of activities.
My class is excited about being in kindergarten and are always looking forward to the new activities for our daily lessons. They enjoy the variety of ways I teach. If they are eager to learn now, then that love for learning may continue throughout their educational lives.
My Project
Kindergarten is a great time to give children an opportunity to love reading books. We read during Shared Reading, Read Aloud, Reading Workshop, Math, Science, and Social Studies. The more they hear their favorite books, the more they fall in love with reading.
The Wireless Classroom Headphone Set will help keep the love of reading alive.
They are fascinated when they hear stories read by the teacher throughout the day. When they hear their "read to me again" books with music and special sound effects, it will take them to another level of enjoyment of their favorite stories. The wireless headsets will save time because there are no wires to untangle. I would like to keep that love of reading strong so that it will continue throughout adulthood.
Also in my project I have included some organizational seat covers and a X-ACTO School Pro Classroom Electric Pencil Sharpener. Organizational seat covers will help maintain order and structure during work time. It helps to keep tables clear to begin reading and other activities. The pencil sharpener for the students will enable them to independently get their tools ready for learning.
Enhancing the love of reading, organizing, and ready learning tools will give my students a chance to love learning.
