Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I believe in my students who are in 8th grade special education classes. They attend a large, inner city middle school that serves free breakfast and lunch to them. Many of them have have parents who are absent from their lives due to various reasons; i.e. incarceration, death, etc.

When they enter my classroom they know that I have their best interests at heart and I am going to assist them in becoming more successful in life and in school.

My Project

Because you and I care, the difference in students is made.

Headphones and mice for my special education students will allow them to become better citizens, better consumers and better learners.

Using the mice and headphones each student will be able to be placed on their individual level. By being on their own level, the students feel better about themselves, thus creating more motivated students. It will also allow them to be on a better footing with their peers.

The headphones and mice will allow the students the chance to become informed on current topics from around the world. We can help create better students, citizens and consumers because they were given the chance to become more knowledgeable about themselves and others.
