Earphones for Learning!

My students need earphones when they use the computers in the lab and in the classroom. Many of the activities like online testing and interactive activities need students to have content read to them.

My Students

We are a first grade class of students of diverse backgrounds and nationalities. Many students receive free or reduced rate lunch.

Our students walk into our classrooms every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day, even though many of our students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the class.

Despite the many challenges they face, we are looking to keep things simple and provide students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My Project

The use of earphones is almost a daily activity in my classroom. Using the computers in my classroom occurs in the morning with literacy centers, and again in the afternoon with math centers. Students come to the computer station for practice on content. Many of the activities require volume that can be distracting to others who are not at the computers. The earphones allow each student to hear what is being presented on the computer. We would also use the earphones when we go to the computer lab where online testing occurs. The earphones allow my students to hear exactly what is being asked of them in the game or the test.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether or not they can read the questions being asked.
