Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My preschool students are so special and unique in their own ways. They are lovable and feisty at the same time. Each one them bring something new to the classroom every day. My students love large group; during large group we learn letters, sounds and basic early math activities. They are always interested in learning new early childhood learning activities. I have 12 girls and 8 boys. I have a total of eleven children that will be entering kindergarten next school year.
My Project
The majority of my students are Spanish-speaking, and these learning materials that I have ordered will help me teach my students the basic letters and sounds and letter sound recognition.
One of the items requested is Phonics Learning Locks.
This essential phonics skills with learning locks will help students identify vowel sounds, blends and digraphs and read CVC words! Students simply select a key that matches the illustration or completes the words shown on each lock - if it’s a match it's the key.
Another learning activity that is requested will get students excited about alphabet practice with an innovative activity center! The Learning Letters Activity Centers give my students early learning and hands-on opportunities to explore letters as they follow simple prompts on activity cards to build letters piece by piece using snap-together parts.
All materials that are requested will help my preschool students start their early learning experience.
