This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Starting a fire in the bellies of future scholars is my goal. Science should be alive to each of them. Have you ever tried to explain something abstract to a child with limited vocabulary? In order to ignite that desire for more, I need these hands on items so they may see more.

We attend school in a rural area.

Our school has 86% free and reduced lunch. There are seven ESL students among the 50 I teach. I have three classes of science/social studies/writing. Not only is our school impoverished, but we also have a population deprived of many daily necessities, such as, food and clothing.

My Project

Imagine vocabulary taking shape as students touch items that you purchased. Picture the sweet children having hope to reach their full potential by building knowledge as they are able to touch and discuss what they see. This is very important. Please consider donating.

Without intervention, many students simply are stuck in the lower performing bracket.

Digging deeper with understanding helps students such as ours aim for the sky! With your help I can impact students for years to come.
