This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is a personalized learning setting where students are often doing self-directed learning tasks on their computer at a different pace than their peers. They need access to earbuds in order to access sound connected to videos they may need to watch for their learning path.

My students are motivated learners who are at very different skill levels.

This requires differentiation in my instruction. My school is a vibrant, innovative school in East Oakland that serves a low-income community of primarily immigrant families.

My Project

Students will be able to independently engage in learning tasks on line at their own pace by using the headphones. Much of my curriculum utilizes technology and is self-directed by students. They need access to earbuds in order for the learning path and pace to best match their individual needs.

My students will get their learning needs met in an individualized way and students will feel more successful in my classroom.

They will be learning 21st century learner skills; being able to access resources using technology and being able to drive their own learning.
