My amazing students are usually the true heroes in every school I have ever worked in across 3 counties. I have the privilege of being a special educator in public education. What makes my students special is their determination and willingness to meet any challenges life presents them with in spite of having a disability. Personally, I don't view any of my students as having a disability and teach them it's okay to focus on their abilities to be successful.
My Project
My students have a variety of needs and classes, many of which require technology as many of our classes are now online. The students will be able to have personal earbuds in order to not have to share with others. This will also teach them to learn responsibility and to keep up with their own equipment. Many of my students will take better care of equipment when they realize the earbuds will be theirs to keep! One of our Exceptional Children's programs require all online classes and the earbuds will be indispensable as they are often in different sections in any given online class and need to be able to listen on their own laptops without disturbing others.
