This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are a Title 1 school with limited funding, however my students do not allow this to effect their learning. My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
My Project
Disruptions happen all around us. Music playing, paper shuffling, sharpening of pencils, chair/desk moving are all types of things that distract students while learning. Students have a hard time at blocking out these distractions, therefore I am writing this project for headphones. These headphones are essential in my learning centers as well as assessments.
The headphones will help my students to block out the outside noises.
This project is centered around my students being able to hear their technology devices read, and pronounce words for them. During independent work my students will be able to listen instrumental soothing music in order to help them concentrate on their work. Students will also be able to hear their assessments without any background noise or distractions.
